Hart Video Services Migrating to Shields Reserves Summer 2009

Beginning Summer 2009, the Hart MDL will no longer offer video reserve or checkout services. Instead, the Reserves Desk of Shields Library will be handling all such course reserve material. Shields Reserves will also take ownership of a portion of the Hart permanent video collection.

Academic Technology Services and Shields Library staff are working closely together to ensure an effective and efficient transition and help you understand the library's policies and procedures.

We expect to have a detailed transition guide published by Fall 2008, but at this time, you should consider examining your video collection to ensure you have documented copyright permission for any derivative works in your collection (e.g. burned DVDs or copied VHS tapes).

If you need assistance in obtaining legal copies of your video material, consider the Undergraduate Instructional Improvement minigrant offered by the Teaching Resources Center (see link below).
